It's a Mystery Party!

The kids got invited to go to a Mystery Party. Not only that but they got asked to come in costume!

Anybody that knows me knows that coming up with costumes isn't always my cup of tea! It took me some time to come up with the kid's costumes for Peggy the Pint-Sized Pirate. I won't have that kind of time this time around because the party is in in about 2 weeks. (The invite came today).

Here's The Deal:
Superstar needs to go as a nightclub piano player
Web-Princess needs to go as A sidewalk chalk Artist.

Ideas? Anybody? Help me get those wheels turning!!

  1. I l-o-v-e costume parties!! I noticed you didn't have any advice yet so thought I would offer some ideas :-)

Superstar could wear a suit and cary piano sheet music.

Web-princess... hmmmmm.... I am thinking a beret, a small satchle or camera bag with chalk in it, painters clothes... though not too baggy (when a chalk artist is working, baggy clothes can drag across the picture and smudge the artwork!) Maybe jeans with the cuffs rolled up, smudge them up good with some of the chalk!... oh, and teach her to say "Oui, mon ami" ;-)

  2. Suit? Superstar does have his suit still from his first communion back in April. (And I THINK it still fits)

Here is a post that has some pictures: http://catholicchristianhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2009/04/first-communion.html (I'm sorry you'll have to copy and paste that! I've seen comments on blogger hosted blogs with hyperlinks, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet: I will one day I'm sure)

Anyway, you can see the pictures of him in his suit there. Do you think he should wear it all? Or just the shirt, pants? Or just the shirt, pants, and tie? Thanks for the input!!! If it still fits that will be cool and easy!! LOL

  3. np on the link... I think the whole thing would be great. When a pianist has a concert he usually wears a tux or something snazzy like that!

    Glad to help :-)
