I'm thankful that I'm able to stay home with my kids! Yes it has it's challenges and at times I just to want to throw in the towel. However, I'm truly thankful that I'm able to stay home with them!
It's not a large list today, my mind is all wrapped up in Superstar and his EMG/VNC test that he is having this afternoon. I pray that the testing goes well.
Oh wait, I just thought of another thankful moment! I get to go to a Bears game next weekend in the Windy City. Okay, I'll admit I'm not much of a football fan, but it's still a cool thing to be able to go do. Especially seeing I'm going with my Mom. (She's a football nut LOL)
Thanks Judy for hosting this MEME

Thankful Blessings

Thank-you Judy for hosting this Meme: Thankful Woman's Book of Blessings.
1) I'm thankful that my DS's MRI went well. We still are waiting for the results, but he did really really, well. The MRI did cause us a bit of a headache, but it's done and he did extremely well. The hospital staff told us they never seen a child do so well!
2) That I have opportunity knocking on my door. I've been approached (via email) by a software company to do a review of their product. (More info on that yet to come). They asked me to do the review because they came across my blog: Catholic Christian Homeschooling! I'm NOT being paid for it, but I'm still thankful because it is an opportunity to do something that I like to do!
3) That I have the opportunity to go to TX with my sister. She is back from Afghanistan. She did a 14 month tour of Afghanistan. She's home now and will be station in TX for at least the next 12 months. She's here in IL to get her 20 month old son, and later today we leave with her and her son to TX. We are driving down and then on Monday, my kids and I are flying back to IL. My sister and her son will be staying in TX. So I will be gone for the rest of the week...

Thankful Tuesdays

I will admit that I haven't done this for the last few weeks. There have been several MEME that I have ignored over the last several weeks. It's not so much that I'm busy, I just didn't feel like doing them. Thank-You Judy for hosting this MEME.
Five Things I'm Thankful For:
Five Things I'm Thankful For:
- My sister is STATE SIDE! Her tour 14 month tour, Afganistain, is done. She will be here in a few weeks to get her son. She has do a whole bunch of evaluations and other things before she can come to IL to get her son. Right now she's in TX.
- That I will be able to do some traveling myself this coming weekend. Not will I be turning 30 over the weekend, but I get to spend it in MI with my friend and her family.
- That my kids are healthy, active, and just down right funny! It's so good to be able to laugh!
- That our septic seems to be working fine. We've had some issues last week with the pump alarm going off. So we had my step-dad come up over the weekend and take a look at it. He thinks everything is fine and that we just had a "floater on the floater". (His words, and if you aren't sure what he means, let me know and I'll explain it better.)
- I'm thankful for you! I'm thankful for each and everyone of you that takes time to read my blogs. I'm thankful for those that take time to comment. I'm just glad that you are here and that I can share apart of my life with you all!

--1--
Being able to spend time with my family.
--2--
Crock-Pots! They make dinner so easy especially in the warmer months when you don't want to "heat" up the kitchen
--3--
A house to live in. I've known so many people that have lost their home do to the economy.
--4--
That DH still has a job. Things are getting scary here

5 thing I'm thankful for on May 19th

1) That my kids b-day party this past Sat, at a local children's museum, went well. The kids had a great time at the museum with their friends. Best of all it was "worry" free for me!
2) We were able to take a mini-vacation. DH had today and yesterday off of work. So we decided on a whim late Sunday Morning, early afternoon to stay a night at a hotel. In the process of pulling up local hotels in the city, we learned that the one attached to CoCo Keys Water Resort was having a special for May! A 2 day pass to CoCo Keys and a 1 one night stay at the hotel for a family for 4 for $99. (This was a great steal seeing a day pass just to CoCo Keys is $35 weekend/$25 daily per person.) So we basically got 2 days at the indoor water park and 1 night at the hotel for the price of 1 day at the water park. From what I understand that's only for the one here, just in case you have one near you.
3) Mini-Vacation! It was just nice to be "away" even it it was just for 2 days and 1 night and at a hotel 20 minutes from home! We left the phone (we only have a cell) and computers at home!
4) The kids joy! They were beaming ear to ear! They said the 2 days at the water park and 1 night at the hotel was the BEST vacation ever!!! They to be honest the first day they were more thrilled with the hotel room then the water park (at least for the first day). We actually spent our first 2 hours at the hotel in our room and on our room's patio. Not because we made them, but because they didn't want to leave our hotel room. Who knew that 2 beds, a bedside table, a TV, bathroom, and patio could be so much fun!
5) Being able to bunk with DD Sunday Night. We had 2 beds in our room, but the kids insisted that the boys (DH and DS) had to be in one bed and the girls (DD and myself) had to be in the other. It was nice just to able to snuggle with my DD last night....despite the fact that she kicks, wiggles, and laid on top of me in her sleep. If she's to marry in life, her hubby would either have to be wiling to tolerate her thrashing or get a king size bed and hope she'll stay on her side of the bed LOL!!!
PS: The kid's big play, the one I had to make costumes for, IS TODAY!!! I hope they do well!!!

5 things I'm thankful for on April 28th, 2009

1. My husband! Tomorrow the 29th will be our 9th wedding anniversary. DH told me today that it will be "weird" come next year because we then will be in double digits. Although tomorrow is our 9th wedding anniversary we have been a couple for almost 11 years! WOW
2. That it is our last week of school this week! (Now perhaps I can tackle the house)
3. That I may have the chance to go and spend the weekend in MI at my BFF house. She moved to from IL to MI in January and well I miss her. I talk to her weekly, but it's not the same. My B-day is in July and DH said that I might be able to spend my B-day weekend in MI with my BFF! What a b-day present!!!
4. My kids! I don't really need to say more do I... (although at times I wish I could give them to the zoo!) LOL
5. All of my cyber friends! Especially Judy, the host of this MEME. Your emails make me smile, even if there are 10,000 of them asking for help! I know there isn't 10,000 of them and I'm just giving you a hard time. You could email me 10,000 times a day if you wanted. It wouldn't bother me any! I always love getting your emails!
