It seems I have lost a bit of blogging mojo. I know for a period of time I was wrapped up in promoting and doing things for the local homeschool co-op I started. Doing that entered me into the facebook realm. Prior to that I didn't have facebook. I found myself doing more and more of micro blogging on facebook. Sharing links, sharing info about the kids, homeschooling, that I didn't feel the need to come here and blog about it.
The group I started is going strong and growing and I have stepped down as a leader. I needed to step down for personal reasons. I'm glad where the group has gone, I'm glad it's growing, and I can't wait to see what's in store for it.
So what of homeschooling? Well we at the beginning of May we called it the end of the school year so the kids have been hanging out around the house on the computer and tablets a bit more then I would like. Of course I could step up and say hey no more computer time for today and pull the plug on them or at least limit them.
I have started to plan for next school year. At the end of July I'm going to a homeschool conference. I can't wait it will be my first conference ever. It's Catholic based so that's making me looking forward to it even more. I don't know what I'm looking forward to the most: the speakers or the used book sale!
So that's a yet another quick blogging post? For my long time readers and fellow bloggers what do you do to prevent blogging block? Or drying up? And if you have hit a dry spell what do you do to come out of it? I look back at this blog history and I would hate for it to go totally dead. Sometimes I think about starting over and starting with a fresh blog, but I'm not sure I truly want that too.

Testing New Mobile App.
Posted by
Nichole "Nikki" Warren
A little over an year ago, well really 1.5 years ago I entered the smartphone world with an android based phone. Seeing android is Google owned one of the first things I looked for was a Blogger app. I had a few options but none of them were made by Google so I passed. I didn't want to use a 3rd party app and give them my password.
Today I on a whim decided to search the app store for a Blogger app and to my surprise I found one made by Google so I thought I would give it a try.
This blog post was made on my phone.

Why haven't I been blogging? That is the question for the ages!!

So recently my husband out of the blue said to me "February 16th; February 16th what a shame!" or something along those lines. Confused I said to him, "What are you talking about?" He cheekily replied that's the last time you blogged I'm very disappointed! Yes it's been nearly a month since I've blogged last.
I'm not sure why other then I don't think there is much to blog about lately. Homeschooling is homeschooling nothing new really going on, nothing exciting. Of course my kids have witty things to say and I'm sure some of my reader miss reading those witty things, but I just haven't been drawn to blog about it.
My nephew is here now and that's really not and excuse for not blogging. He's been here only for a week. My lack of blogging has been much longer then that. My nephew, little man, is a real gem! I'm thrilled to have him here! Although, I am not thrilled with the reasons he's here! Prayers for my sister. I can't share much about what's going on with her deployment other then it's pretty scary for her. We have been able to do video chat via skype so not only do I get to talk to to her, but I get to see her and you can see she's stressed out from the environment. I worry about what post-war will be like for her. For the last 2 months Little Man has been at my Mom's, and after 2 months here he'll go back to my Moms. We are going to rotate homes every 2 months until my sister's 1 year deployment is done.
On a personal front I've decided to tackle my weight and other health issues again! This time I'm using sparkpeople.com as a means to track my nutrition, fitness, etc. If you are on sparkpeople.com you can find me. My screen name is the same there as it is here: SAHMinIL
I don't really have much to say other then I hope I'm finally out of this blogging funk and will star blogging again more regularly.

145 out of 200 Top Catholic Blogs
Posted by

I was very surprise to see my blog Catholic Christian Homeschooling listed as one of the Top 200 Catholic Blogs. The list is based on google reader subscriptions (which is a very public number).
Although I should point out if you go check it out you'll actually see the blog name as "My Adventures into Christian Homeschooling 2". This was THIS blog name in the very, very, very beginning! LOL I changed it very early on to Catholic Christian Homeschooling to match the URL of the blog! :) The only reason it had a 2 in the very, very, very beginning is because this is my SECOND homeschooling blog.
My first blog became fried due to my tinkering. I didn't know (and still don't know) HTML coding. I totally screwed up the blog by messing with the HTML so I had no choice but delete it and start completely over!!!! I off course became HTML smarter! Backing up the blog before making changes, reading and learning what the changes can do. However I'll be honest and say I still don't know much! :)

This post is really just for me to test Linux. I'm thinking about getting rid of Windows for Linux. However before I make the decision I wanted to test some things out on Linux. This concludes my test. Thanks

Internet Explorer: Operation Aborted
Posted by

I know that several people are having issues right now with various websites and blogs when using Internet Explorer. I know that this blog "My Adventures into Christian Homeschooling" is one of the sites that is now effected by this blogger known issue.
The following is from Blogger's Known Issues for Blogger Blog:
This is something that has gone on for months! And there doesn't seem to be any fix in site. Sure they (blogger) suggest I remove the followers, or move it down the page, but I've tried those things and it's not working!
Not only that but I now know that other non-blogger sites, such as THL (The Homeschool Lounge), are having similar issues when people are viewing their site via Internet Explorer.
So I'm HIGHLY suggesting to all my readers to use Firefox. The issues are only associated with Internet Explorer so using Firefox will solve the issues not only with blogger sites, but with others such as THL.

Some users are seeing an 'Operation Aborted' error message when trying to load their blogs from Internet Explorer. We're looking into this and will update this message when we have a fix.
